The Buncombe County Guardian ad Litem (GAL) Program advocates on behalf of abused and neglected children. This advocacy comes from volunteer citizens who represent our community and offer their unique and diverse perspectives within the child welfare system. Currently, 361 children are eligible for this program and 46 still need a GAL volunteer to speak on their behalf.

Coby Wellshear, GAL supervisor, will provide information on this program for JSCA.
